About Caethe

Canadian retirement runs on a calendar: a payment date near the end of each month, an OAS review every quarter, a filing deadline in April, and birthdays at 65, 70 and 71 that change the rules. Caethe explains those dates in plain language, one at a time.

Who publishes it

The site is published by NIVO Consultancy OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia under registry code 12094006. Legal and contact details are on the imprint.

This is sponsored content

Every page carries a disclosure naming NIVO Consultancy OÜ as the sponsor. The site is commercial: it is funded by its publisher and promoted through paid advertising. Any article that is itself an advertisement is labelled as such above its headline.

How the countdowns work

The day counts you see on the front page and in articles are worked out on our server each time a page loads, from today’s date to a published date: the CPP and OAS payment calendar from Service Canada, or recurring CRA dates such as the quarterly instalment days and April 30. When a date passes it rolls on to the next real one, or drops off if the next one has not been published yet. We do not invent dates to fill the list, and the countdowns are there to help you plan, not to hurry you.

What we are not

  • We are not a Government of Canada, Service Canada or Canada Revenue Agency website and have no affiliation with any of them.
  • We do not process or assist with applications for any benefit, and there is nothing to pay or register for here.
  • We never ask for a Social Insurance Number, banking details or government account credentials.
  • We are not financial, tax or legal advisers, and we do not sell or recommend financial products.

How we handle facts

Articles are written from primary sources: canada.ca, the Canada Revenue Agency and, where relevant, provincial government pages. Each article links the pages it relies on and states when its figures were checked. Dollar examples are labelled as illustrations. Articles carry the byline Caethe Editorial rather than an individual name; we do not invent writers, case studies or testimonials.

Corrections

If something looks wrong, write to info@caethe.com. We check it against the source and correct errors of fact.
